Carlos Pons Guerra in the Dominican Republic

Carlos Pons Guerra will be working in the Dominican Republic throughout January 2016, in project supported by The British Council, Arts Council England, the National Dance School of the Dominican Republic and the National Dance Company of the Dominican Republic. 

During this time, he will be creating a new work on the graduate ballet of the National Dance School, ENDanza (pictured), Miranda, a Caribbean exploration of William Shakespeare's The Tempest, with which he aims to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the bard's death. 

He will also be working with the National Dance Company of the DR and researching Caribbean views on gender and sexuality, gathering inspiration for the creation of new work for DeNada.
