Carlos Pons Guerra Nominated for Critics' Circle National Dance Awards

We are delighted to announce that choreographer and DeNada's director Carlos Pons Guerra has been nominated for the Critics' Circle National Dance Awards, in the category of Best Emerging Artist.

The National Dance Awards have been organised by the Dance Section of the Critics’ Circle in each year since 2000 and they celebrate the vigour and variety of Britain’s thriving dance culture. They are the only awards given by the body of professional dance critics in the UK.   They are presented by the Dance Section of the Critics’ Circle, which brings together around 60 dance writers and critics.

This year's nominations highlight the talent of an impressive nine Spanish dance artists, spread across the genres of ballet, contemporary dance and flamenco.

Carlos said: "I feel honoured, quite speechless and above all extremely thankful to all supporters and friends who have helped along the way. Incredible to have been nominated for the Emerging Artist Award. Congratulations to all nominees, especially those in my category- a real honour to share a nomination with you."

Winners will be announced at a ceremony at The Place, London, on Monday 25th January 2016.
