ENDanza Premieres Pons Guerra's 'Miranda'

The Young Ballet of the National Dance School of the Dominican Republic, ENDanza, premiered Carlos Pons Guerra's Miranda- a new short ballet that explores William Shakespeare's The Tempest, drawing on Pons Guerra's research into Caribbean views on gender- at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, Santo Domingo, on 4-5 February 2016.

Carlos Pons Guerra works with the National Dance Company of the Dominican Republic

During his time in the Dominican Republic, Carlos Pons Guerra taught class and excerpts from DeNada's repertoire for the National Dance Company of the Dominican Republic, under direction of Marianella Boan, in the company's studios at the National Dance School in Santo Domingo.

Carlos Pons Guerra will be working in the Dominican Republic throughout January 2016, in project supported by The British Council, Arts Council England, the National Dance School of the Dominican Republic and the National Dance Company of the Dominican Republic.
