DeNada to perform at the British Spanish Society Gala at The Place

DeNada Dance Theatre has been invited to perform Carlos Pons Guerra's Young Man! at the British Spanish Society's Unique Gala of Spanish Dance, which will take place on November 26th at The Place, London.

Tamara Rojo, Spanish prima ballerina and artistic director of English National Ballet, will be the gala patron. The gala programme features performances by Spanish dancers of the Royal Ballet: principal dancer Laura Morera and first soloists Ricardo Cervera and Itziar Mendizabal. Baltic Dance Theatre will be presenting the UK premiere of Izadora Weiss' Phaedre, whilst two further premieres will be presented by former Rambert dancer Estela Merlos and independent choreographer Avatara Ayuso. The Bordoneo Duo will play flamenco and Mexican music throughout the night.

DeNada feels honoured to have been invited to perform in a gala that celebrates the rich dance talent emerging from Spain, and which has been developed and nurtured in the UK, a country that has offered a wealth of international dance artists invaluable opportunities to grow creatively and professionally. We are thankful to the British Spanish Society for its work furthering cultural links between Britain and Spain, and for providing artistic encounters between the two countries, such as its Unique Gala of Dance.
