Leonora Stapleton

Originally from Leeds, Leonora trained at the London Contemporary Dance School before embarking on an international dancing career, with companies including Dance Theater of Harlem, Complexions Ballet and Donald Byrd Dance. She was an original cast member of The Lion King on Broadway and was associate choreographer for Tarzan, the musical, both on Broadway and on its European tours.

Leonora created the role of Madame Gertrudis in Mariposa: a Queer Tragedy Inspired by Puccini’s Madame Butterfly.
