Recruiting: Technical Manager
We are recruiting! DeNada Dance Theatre seeks a technical manager to work with us on our new outdoor family production, The Bull and the Moon, on a freelance contract, preferably based in Yorkshire or the West Midlands.
Responsibilities include collecting, assembling and dismantling our wooden set and steel deck, operating sound when necessary, and general technical management. You must be able to drive a van.
Performance dates are Aug 8 (Lichfield), Sept 25 and 26 (Birmingham), Oct 2 (Leeds) and Oct 3 (Birmingham). Our current priority is the Aug 8 performance; we would be happy to hear from people who are only available for Aug 8, but would prefer availability for the entire tour.
There is potential for extending the contract to our indoor production of Mariposa: a Queer Tragedy Inspired by Madame Butterfly, throughout autumn and winter 2021/2022.
To express interest, or to ask more information, please email Carlos Pons Guerra, director and choreographer, at carlos@denada-dance.com, preferably by July 30.
You’d be joining a dynamic, fun and diverse cast and team at DeNada Dance Theatre, a UK-based company that explores, shares and subverts Hispanic and Latinx culture in the UK and beyond, as well as defending LGBTQ+ inclusivity through its kitschy, darkly humours narrative work for adults and family audiences.
